Bushwalk at North Head Quarantine Station

  • 01 May 2022
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • 1 North Head Scenic Drive, Manly NSW (Q Station carpark)

FAMILY FRIENDLY BUSH WALK

A walk through a slice of Sydney’s history: North Head Quarantine Station & Reserve at Manly. Come with family and friends.

Join us for a short - about two hours - bushwalk around North Head in Manly. We’ll walk via the roads and paths around the main historic buildings and stop to enjoy the magnificent harbour views on the way down to the Q Station wharf (where participants can inspect the engravings, the Visitor’s Centre and surrounds, buy tea/coffee/snacks at the Visitor Centre cafe, walk on the beach), and return via the stairs (uphill). Toilets are also located at the wharf.

Level: Medium level of difficulty. The Quarantine Station is on a slope. The paths and steps make it unsuitable for prams or wheelchairs. Pets are not allowed as it is a national park.

What to bring: Walking shoes, water, hat, snacks, raincoat/umbrella if required

Meeting place: Q Station car park at 10:00am

Address: 1 North Head Scenic Drive, Manly NSW

Registration: This is a free event, but please register so that we have an idea of numbers and can notify you on the day if the weather is bad and we need to cancel.
